Teach My Hands

I know the words that mercy speaks I've heard them every Sunday But someone's hurting down my street And love is needed Monday

If faith is more than words Let it move through me Make my life the answer To the prayers I pray

Teach my hands what love can do Let my life look more like You Where the world has closed a door Teach my hands to open more When my words are not enough Let me bear the weight of love If Your mercy lives in me Teach my hands to love like Yours

There's a light in every window There's a story passing by Someone trying not to show The weight behind their eyes

I don't need to have the answer I don't need to make things right Sometimes love is simply staying With somebody through the night

Maybe love is staying close Maybe love is making room Maybe all the world needs now Is someone following through

Not to prove, not to be seen Just to help carry that burden With an open heart and open hands Let Your mercy start with me

Teach my hands what love can do Let my life look more like You Where the world has closed a door Teach my hands to open more When my words are not enough Let me bear the weight of love If Your mercy lives in me Teach my hands to love like Yours

If Your mercy lives in me Teach my hands to love like Yours Teach my hands to love like Yours Teach my hands to love like Yours
