Psalm 23 - Adonai Ro'i

1. יְהוָה רֹעִי, לֹא אֶחְסָר The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2. בִּנְאוֹת דֶּשֶׁא, יַרְבִּיצֵנִי He makes me lie down in green pastures; עַל-מֵי מְנֻחוֹת, יַנְהֲלֵנִי He leads me beside still waters.

3. נַפְשִׁי, יְשׁוֹבֵב He restores my soul; יַנְחֵנִי בְמַעְגְּלֵי-צֶדֶק, לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

4. גַּם כִּי-אֵלֵךְ בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת, לֹא-אִירָא רָע Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, כִּי-אַתָּה עִמָּדִי, שִׁבְטְךָ וּמִשְׁעַנְתֶּךָ, הֵמָּה יְנַחֲמֻנִי for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5. תַּעֲרֹךְ לְפָנַי שֻׁלְחָן, נֶגֶד צֹרְרָי You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; דִּשַּׁנְתָּ בַשֶּׁמֶן רֹאשִׁי, כּוֹסִי רְוָיָה You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6. אַךְ טוֹב וָחֶסֶד יִרְדְּפוּנִי, כָּל-יְמֵי חַיָּי Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, וְשַׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית-יְהוָה, לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
