Jesus, Be Lifted

Jesus, You are worthy Truth on my lips, praise in my breath

I was counting every win like a name could save me Then the cross showed mercy when my pride enslaved me Not a myth made thin by the turning of ages The tomb stood empty, hope broke out of the pages Witnesses carried scars, not a convenient story Fishermen faced the sword, still they testified glory If the grave had held Him, faith would be ashes But the risen Christ walked through locked doors and questions

Jesus, be lifted, Lord over all Mercy in the rising, grace when I fall Mind and heart surrender, truth and love agree King who bore my judgment, You have rescued me Jesus, be lifted, holy is Your name Yesterday and always, still forever the same I will praise Your goodness, I will trust Your word My defender and Redeemer, Jesus Christ the Lord

Psalm in my bloodstream, I remember Your shepherd hand When the valley gets narrow, You help me stand You prepare a table where the accusers stare Anoint my head with mercy, prove that You are there The heavens speak order, every conscience knows We are more than collision, more than dust that arose Reason is a servant, not a throne for my soul It can point toward the doorway; Christ makes me whole The Maker entered history, humble in frame The invisible God made known in a human name No borrowed righteousness, no ladder I can climb I am held by the Savior, justified in time

When my doubts come knocking, I will bring them to the light Faith is not pretending; it can stand beside the fight You have answered sin with mercy, death with resurrection Every wound becomes a doorway to a deeper true confession

So I speak with gentleness, courage without pride Grace for every skeptic, truth I cannot hide Love is not surrender, peace is not retreat Christ is Lord of reason and the ground beneath my feet Teach me to forgive as I have been forgiven Make my daily labor evidence of heaven Let the poor find welcome, let the weary find rest Let my life point upward, let Your name be blessed From the psalm to the sermon, from the heart to the street Every breath is an offering laid before Your feet Until the trumpet gathers every tribe and tongue I will sing the old salvation with a brand-new song

Glory to the Father, Glory to the Son Glory to the Spirit, Three and yet One Jesus, be lifted, now and evermore My refuge, hope, and Savior—Jesus Christ the Lord
