Before the Stars Burned

Out of the dust, You spoke my name Before the fire, before the flame When the world was quiet, before the light You saw the canvas, You saw the flight

Let the rhythm ignite, we moving in grace, we walking in sight I was a shadow, lost in the night, but You pulled me close and made it all right Every single stutter, every syllable I utter, You were holding up my head when my heart began to flutter Through the static and the chatter, telling me I didn't matter, You were building up a temple that the enemy couldn't shatter In the womb, yeah, You knew every beat of my heart From the very first breath to the moment we start No mistake in the making, no line out of place Just a vessel of clay being filled by Your grace

Oh, You knew me Before the stars began to burn Oh, You saw me At every single twisted turn Through the valley of the darkest night You lead me back into Your radiant light Radiant light, yeah

Now we pick up the speed, gotta focus the mind, leaving the worries and burdens behind Living the promise, we breaking the chains, we feeling the power that flows in our veins In the quiet of the night, when the doubts start to creep, You're the shepherd of my soul, guarding while I'm asleep Unconditional, original, Your love is medicinal, lifting up my spirit to a sacred pinnacle Under Your wings is where I am thriving Even when I stumble, even when I fall, You're the sovereign God who answers my call In the beauty of Your holiness, I find my rest No more running, no more testing, I am truly blessed From the micro to the macro, everything is in Your hand Standing on the rock, yeah, I trust in Your plan

Oh, You knew me Before the stars began to burn Oh, You saw me At every single twisted turn Through the valley of the darkest night You lead me back into Your vibrant light

You knew me Always did
